Ukraine damages Russia’s Tu-22M3 bomber 1,800 kilometers away from state border, HUR confirms. Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian airfields of Olenya in Murmansk Oblast, Engels in Saratov Oblast, and Diagilevo in Ryazan Oblast overnight on July 27.

Fighting in Donetsk Oblast ‘extremely challenging,’ but Ukraine has ’strength to achieve its goals,dfg Zelensky says. Despite the tense situation near Pokrovsk, “Ukraine has the strength to achieve its goals,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Around 500 people evacuated from Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast monthly, authorities say. A total of 60,000 people, including 4,000 children, remain in Pokrovsk, Serhii Dobriak, head of the city’s military administration, said. Another 4,000 children have been evacuated.

Ukraine reports Russian attacks on Huliaipole front in Zaporizhzhia Oblast after ‘long pause.’ Speaking on national TV, Tavria group of forces spokesperson, Dmytro Lykhovii, said Moscow’s troops had attempted two assaults “from two different fronts.”

Russia increasingly moving military equipment to Zaporizhzhia Oblast, official says. The transport of Russian military equipment toward Zaporizhzhia Oblast through occupied Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast has “sharply increased,” said Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the city’s exiled mayor, on July 29.

Ukraine announces charges in absentia of 2 pro-Russian collaborators over Olenivka POW killings. The Prosecutor General’s Office said the investigation involved statements from 20 victims and 30 eyewitnesses, as well as forensic evidence of those killed. The two unnamed Russian commanders have been charged in absentia with violating the laws of war.

6 detained in Odesa for allegedly setting fire to military vehicles on Russia’s orders. A group of Odesa residents, aged 18 to 24, allegedly acted on the order of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB). The suspects made contact with Russia via Telegram channels while looking for “easy money,” according to the SBU.

Ukraine hits substations in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, military says. While Russia’s air defenses were at work, explosions were reported near at least four substations, Ukraine’s military said. After the attack, power outages were reported in the Ponyrovsky, Solntsevsky and Kursky districts of Kursk Oblast.

Russian navy starts extensive drills involving majority of its fleet. The Russian navy began scheduled exercises involving a significant portion of its fleet, including 20,000 personnel and 300 ships, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 30.

Ukrainian cyberattack targets Russia’s central bank, source says. Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) on July 29 carried out a cyberattack against the Russian central bank, a source in the agency told the Kyiv Independent.

Slovakia’s Fico threatens to cut off diesel supplies to Ukraine over Russian oil dispute. In June, Kyiv imposed sanctions blocking the transit of pipeline oil from Lukoil to Central Europe to cut off the Kremlin’s source of income used to support its military.
